Re-wiring your entire house with fiber optic cables to test out Verizon's new FiOS service might be a bit cost prohibitive. Luckily, R/GA crafted a web experience (with music and sound effects courtesy of Sacred Noise) that lets you rummage through someone else's house—specifically, a virtual FiOS-enabled house designed to illustrate how fiber optics can enhance the internet and television-surfing experiences. Visitors can explore three virtual rooms, each filled with a myriad of interactive items that lead to detailed product zoom-ins when clicked. There's also a pair of simple but entertaining mini-games, as well as an animated "Hall of Innovations" timeline that traces the history of cool discoveries (all the way back to fire).
