Continuing what by now is a hallowed tradition of near-demented creative for Virgin Mobile's pay-as-you-go "Live Without a Plan" plan, Fallon's New York office takes on other companies' family plans by, of course, showing how they destroy the family. If these pics look like they were plucked from the photo albums of America's heartland, that's because they were shot by Ken Ahlstrom of Minnetonka, Minn., a master of wedding photography and pet portraiture, among other humble but emotionally pregnant genres (see www.danielsstudio.com). "We wanted to point out that family plans hurt families," explains writer Marty Senn, "but rather than pulling stock for this campaign, we turned to Ken, who specializes in portraits like these at his home studio. With good Midwestern casting, he gave us a perfectly innocent look to play against the headlines. The only difficulties were getting an eternally happy baby to frown and dealing with a cranky neighbor who was annoyed by all the cars outside Ken's house."
