Mimes no longer need to suffer the silent treatment, with the advent of Virgin Mobile's new Switch_Back messaging phone. To make some noise surrounding this major victory for mimes everywhere, The Barbarian Group created the Adopt-A-Mime website, an online sounding board for the orally-challenged to learn more about the struggle for mime acceptance within our society. Features include photos and video footage of the April 9 "Million Mime March" in New York City; an adoption service that includes a downloadable adoption kit and an email and text message from your grateful new friend; and a stunningly realistic Mimulator that puts you in a mime's shoes (and striped shirt) for a taunt-ridden walk through the park.
