Are You A Raptor or Terminator? This Ad Captures Some of the Classic 'Run Faces'

Spot for Virgin Money Promotes Online Fundraising Ahead of London Marathon

Editor's Pick

Virgin Money recreates some classic runners' expressions and gives them humorous descriptions in this spot promoting its online fundraising website. They range from the "Raptor" to the "Terminator," via the "Stargazer" and "Seen a Ghost," as we see scenes of various runners going about their daily training. It's a fun idea, and anyone who runs will no doubt be able to empathize.

The spot is being distributed to all 2016 participants in next year's London Marathon today via email, as well as being shared across Virgin Money Giving's website and social platforms. Antony Simm, head of Social Media at Virgin Money, said in a statement: "'Whatever your run face' cleverly taps into one of the universal realities of running a marathon: your face tells a wonderful story and whatever that is, and no matter how sweaty or dishevelled you might look, it makes you feel incredible."

The film was created by AllTogetherNow, the content agency owned by The&Partnership (the WPP-owned umbrella group for creative agency CHI & Partners). It was directed by Ben Hanson and Simon Frost, through production company Carbon.
