Economic uncertainty and rising inflation don't just affect your mortgage payments and grocery bills.

They also affect the "Tooth Fairy." VISA has a solution. The company launched an iPhone/iPad app that will ensure that you are paying the exact right amount to your kid in exchange for a tooth. Plug in your gender, education, location, income and age, and it will show you -- and the "Tooth Fairy" -- how much to give.

The average across the country is $3 per tooth, while grad-school degree holders that make over $150K a year give their kids about $1 per tooth. All of this, just to avoid any complaints or frustrations in the playground that may arise from some kids getting more than others.
