Endless Romance Depicts Vodafone's New Offering

Moving spot marks global launch of brand's Red unlimited plan

Published on Apr 05, 2013

Editor's Pick

For the global launch of Vodafone Red, a limitless talk and text plan, the marketer tapped Grey London to portray its long=lasting commitment to its customers, via this moving spot directed by Academy's Frederic Planchon. The commercial depicts the growing passion of a couple, which only intensifies over time, from when they are children until their elderly years. The idea being, that good things should last forever.

The "through the years" metaphor is a familiar advertising tool, seen in other emotional commercials like this spot for John Lewis, via Adam and Eve, or this classic Kodak "Turn Around" ad from the '60s.
