Apparently, Volkswagen has more vehicles on the road with 100,000 miles than any other car company. That was the kickoff idea for Argonaut when the less-than-one-year-old ad agency was tapped to work on the German automaker's Super Bowl spot. Directed by Tom Kuntz, the spot features a dad getting overly excited about his VW hitting 100,000 miles. His bratty tween daughter, however, isn't so impressed.
So the father weaves a Venti-sized tale to get her excited: "What if every time a Volkswagen hits 100,000 miles, a German engineer gets his wings?" Cut to a VW factory in Germany, where exactly that happens.
