Volvo is celebrating incredible human innovation with two branded content short films that will air on Sky Atlantic in the U.K.

One moving film, seen here, " Music of the Mind'" powerfully recreates the story of a talented young violinist, Rosie Johnson, who suffered a catastrophic accident that robs her of her ability to play the instrument. It's narrated by her friend, and we see them together as young girls, with Rosie having a promising future before her terrible injury that leaves her paralyzed and brain-damaged. Some 29 years later, a professor of computer science, Professor Eduardo Reck Miranda, develops technology that allows reads her brain activity allowing her to compose music, which is played by an orchestra including her friend.

A second film, "Nemo's Garden," tells the story of an Italian father and son who, in response to lack of viable farm land and a more volatile climate, have devised a way to farm under the sea. Despite setbacks, they persevere and manage to crow a crop of basil.

Both films were created by Grey London and are directed by D.A.R.Y.L at Pulse Films -- with only the subtlest appearances from Volvo cars during the footage. They will air on the U.K.'s Sky Atlantic as part of the brand 's sponsorship deal with the channel, starting this evening during "Game of Thrones."

The films form part of a brand platform from Volvo which focuses on "Human Made" achievements. Andy Lockley, creative director at Grey, explains in a statement: "These remarkable stories depict people who are doing amazing things in the space of human-centric innovation. In turn they share the same values of the Volvo brand, and the way in which they design their cars."
