If the Guardian's Lego renditions of Olympic events aren't enough for you today, check out Lego artist extraordinaire Warren Elsmore's reconstruction of the 2012 Olympic stadium. The model, on display at the Danish Village in London's St Katherine Docks throughout the Games, is constructed from approximately a quarter million bricks and took 300 hours to build.
