The iconic Wendy's logo, featuring the little Wendy Thomas, is getting a makeover. After being used since 1983, the fast-food company is retiring the black frame that housed Wendy's pigtails for so many years in favor of a fresher marque that uses a more light-hearted font and also gives Wendy herself an update. Her hair is better and her dress is a little more modern too.

The new logo is part of Wendy's large-scale redesign in its North American operations, which will be renovated and updated into more of a "top-end" fast-food chain.
