Wrangler: Blue Bell - Back in the USA

Haunted by himself

Published on Mar 07, 2011

Editor's Pick

Wrangler Europe's interactive web film for its Bluebell spring/summer 2011 collection was inspired 'in equal parts by Twin Peaks and Memento'. A user-controlled splitscreen mechanic allows the film to be shown moving both forwards and backwards in time.

Shot in Palm Springs' Ace Hotel, it features model Tony Ward (who appeared in last year's work) as a man besieged by traces of his own ghost as he moves through the hotel. This theme is based on the Bluebell's label's own 'return'; for the first time in decades, this year's collection was manufactured in the US.
