Wunderman U.K. cuts its CO2 emissions significantly by transforming employees' computers into energy-sucking appliances.

In order to boost its green credentials, Wunderman U.K. installed these screensavers that transformed employees' computers into energy-gobbling appliances, resulting in a significant reduction in the agency's CO2 output. Workers who left their monitors on dropped from about 60% to 5%, resulting in a savings of about 58 tons of CO2 annually.

The agency also made the screensaver available to other agencies in the network as well as clients like Ford, LandRover and P&G, and logged about 4,000 downloads in six weeks. The general public can start conserving energy as well now that it's downloadable for free at
