With McCann San Francisco and it's T.A.G. division working alongside AKQA on the Halo 3 "Believe" campaign, here aKQA's portion, the game's sensory-satiating site, which ably explains its plotline. The interactive experience, which is accessible and customized for a global audience, enables gaming fans to view the intricacies of the battle of New Mombasa while also exploring the John-117 Monument, a totem erected in 2607 that's honoring one of the game's most lauded heroes, Master Chief Petty Office John-117. With somber, piano-driven music courtesy of IDM mainstay Richard Devine, the panoramic site, utilizing 360 degree panoramas and digital compositing displays the war-torn landscape of the Battle of New Mombasa. As users crawl through the continuous video loop (shot in the diorama concurrently with the TV work at one frame per second and stitched together) they are presented with detail points showing information on Covanent baddies and heroes defending Earth.
