Droga5, Sydney, in collaboration with production companies Hungry Man, New York, L.A.-based greatguns and Sydney's Guillotine, Arithmetic and 8 Commercials, has launched the “Quit in Style” campaign in support of this year’s Young Guns Awards.
The campaign, which includes print and web components, is based on the YG Awards’ new “Craft in Quitting” category, which was conceived by Droga5. Open to any and all creative “underdogs” regardless of advertising background, this call-for-entries targets junior-level types who’d like to cleverly jab their superiors via subversive creative work.
The Quit in Style site serves as an ongoing blog archive and, at launch, hosts print/video content developed by anonymous, established directors from around the world. These cheeky pieces are meant to serve as inspiration for potential contributors, who can sign up and post feedback on the work and create new topics of discussion. By clicking on the Quit in Style logo at the top, you’ll be redirected to the YG Awards online entry page. Here, you can download the entry form to submit work, view past winners and finalists and find out any other info about the event.
The entry deadline is October 17th, and finalists will be determined by a panel including Young Guns jury chairman and JWT Worldwide CD Craig Davis on December 8th. The winning Craft in Quitting work will go on to win a specially-made Matt Black Bullet prize at the Young Guns ceremony.
