Are These Grannies Lusting After Basketball Players, or Not?

Zipcar's Latest Campaign Has a Suggestive New Tagline

Editor's Pick

Zipcar injects some humor into the world of car-sharing in a new TV campaign featuring the tagline "I'd tap that." In three separate commercials, various people lasciviously comment "I'd tap that" while appearing to eye someone up -- although, of course, in some cases it's a Zipcar they're lusting after. The line is a play on the fact that customers access Zipcars by tapping a special keycard to a windshield sensor.

In the spot above, we see three grannies sitting on a bench in a basketball court watching the players. One comments on how she'd like to "tap that" and her friends gleefully chime in, with one adding that she "tapped that" last week (Zipcars are parked just beyond the court). Other ads feature a couple of wholesome-looking middle-aged hikers who stumble across a group of guys in the woods, and a bunch of co-workers vying to see who "taps that" more often.
